This is a complete listing of the 184 letters from the personal papers of Gov. Charles Robinson held in the Kansas State Archives at the Kansas Historical Society that were identified as pertaining directly to Robinson's time at Haskell and were used in the development of this website. These letters were photographed by Jancita Warrington and indexed and transcribed by Travis Campbell in 2018. Wants to return to Haskell first of September for fair. Has four children to bring back with him as well as Rosie Romero. Rodger Brown has been telling lies about Haskell to the Indians.

Heard that her daughter, Ida, is ill and would like her sent home. Reminds Robinson of promise that sick students would be returned.

School workforce is too small at Haskell, no one on staff would think of replacing Robinson until he is out of the Indian Service, will see to it that no one disloyal to Robinson will remain at Haskell, he would very much like Robinson to stay.

Encloses a letter that he is sure a woman wrote, he has previously told her to return to her work. Is interested in the "Misses Drexall" who annually spend $100,000 on Indian Education. Believes a Commissioner and Indian School Superintendent will be appointed soon.

Sending money to cover Ida's expenses to Lawrence and return trip home. She has written repeatedly that she is not well and must be sent for. Rachel Beck wishes her granddaughter, Dora Daugherty, returned as well. Mrs. Beck is ready to speak to the Chief of the Nation to request assistance in getting the girls sent home.

Is quitting the school band, says nothing is wrong, but he just wants to quit. Advises Robinson to see Edgar McCassey about the matter.

Sadie is getting weaker according to the doctor, and she would like to see Joe. Ms. Abner is not anxious to have Joe home as he is better off at Haskell. Clifford and Avery have been determined unable to attend Haskell by the doctor. Asks how long children must stay.

Confidential letter. Koster's case rests almost entirely on Robinson's recommendation. If the Secretary is to make an appointment to replace Robinson this week it will be Koster.

No successor to Robinson can be named until a Supt. Of Indian Schools is appointed. Advises no hasty action will be taken and to address issue of rumors at Haskell.
