Sharice Davids is a Native American lawyer, politician, and member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, born on May 22, 1980. She made history as one of the first two Native American women elected to the U.S. Congress in 2018, representing Kansas's 3rd congressional district. Prior to her political career, Davids served as a military veteran, law enforcement officer, and attorney, focusing on issues such as Native rights, healthcare, and education. Her groundbreaking election and dedicated advocacy have made her a prominent leader in promoting Native American interests and increasing diversity and representation in American politics.
