Dear Supt.,
I write to this note to ask you a question. You know I ask you that I like to work with Ed Harry (milking the cows) and you said all right. Well I went up to Mr. Tracy and told him that you place me to work with Ed Harry and he said that I can work there; but said that I won't get any pay for my work. while them get pay. Now comes a question-Do I get pay for my work just as well as other boys?Mr. Supt., I am well satisfy with this kind of work which I am now engage to do, and think am old enough to bear the work just as best as I can in every way, and but I could not get along well without earning a small amount of money.
Please inform me about what I have ask you in question.
Your school boy,
James R. Hair
